Women in Photojournalism
Julie Jacobson, the one who took that picture of the dying marine, is more than that. Though that is how I came to become familiar with her. War photography is not just a man's job anymore. Her entire work really overshadows that one photo that got everyone mad. Check her out.

from The Elements of a Pictorial Photograph
"Imitative illusion is a trap for the vulgar. A scene may, and should be represented truthfully, but some artists can see and represent more and greater truths than every passer-by will notice....The photographer who sees most will represent more truths more truthfully than another." ~Henry Peach Robinson

School Life
There are so many unique people at school. I love that. Of course there are also lots of lemmings that follow the crowd. I think if I capture the people that follow the crowds, I would have better represented the popular culture of my time. You know the stuff that VH1's "I Love the ##s" make fun off. Instead, I tried to find the characters of CSUF or maybe interesting compositions or nice light. I really liked the tree in the last one. Please go hug one.

Walk away
They told me I was not allowed to photograph. I told them they were in public. They arrested me for drunk in public and confiscated my camera. I spent 7 hour in a cold jail and I have to go to court. The property department probably never seen a film camera before because they opened the bottom plate and fog some frames. It's not about being right or wrong but working the system.
